About me

I’m currently and hope to forever dwell in Nirvana on Earth.

On a personal note

I am a Christian, Birmingham, Alabama native, twin and proud Charlotte Hornets fan. I also enjoy reading GQ magazine, watching Food Network chefs prepare meals I couldn’t possibly make myself, “thinking of you” moments and listening to spoken word poetry.

I consider myself a “pass-first” point guard, both on the basketball court and in the business world. I enjoy assisting and empowering others to reach a common goal. I strive to be the ultimate TEAMmate, both for the people I lead and the mentees I serve.

Here’s a list of a few of my favorite things:

  • Verse: James 1:2-4
  • Color: Red – has been ever since I was six years old and dreamed of being a Red Power Ranger
  • Poem : Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken.” I affectionately blame my high school teacher, Ms. Linda Rainer, and her Honors English 11 class for the inspiration
  • Athlete: Past = Michael Jordan; Present = LeBron James
  • Movie: Love and Basketball
  • Guilty Pleasure: Sour Gummy Worms
  • Sports Teams: Vestavia Hills High School Rebels; UNC Tar Heels, Charlotte Hornets, any Spanish soccer team
  • Sports Memory: Watching the Spanish National Team compete in World Cup preparation play at Yankee Stadium in New York
  • Cities: United States = Charlotte, North Carolina; International = Shanghai, China
  • Book: The Defining Decade: Why Your Twenties Matter – And How To Make the Most of Them
  • TED Talks:
  1. Why 30 is Not the New 20 by Meg Jay
  2. How Great Leaders Inspire Action by Simon Sinek
  3. The Power of Vulnerability by Brene Brown
  4. How Schools Kill Creativity by Ken Robinson
  • YouTube Video:

You can find me on many social media networks including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedInInstagram and Google +. Feel free to contact me if I can ever be of any assistance to you or if you just want to say hello :)

Again, thank you for visiting. I hope something on this site is inspirational and helps you make your own Mylestones.
